A.P.C. Sydney + A.P.C. Melbourne were designed in collaboration with French architectural firm Laurent Deroo Architecte + A.P.C. founder, Jean Touitou.
A.P.C. Sydney is positioned on Crown Street, Surry Hills. It is a subterranean site. A double-height frontage + box frame windows maximise the opportunity for natural light to fill the store. Panelled surfaces, felt, plywood oak monoliths and glass sheeting define the material palette. The craft of Japanese cabinetry informed the approach to the fixtures in store.
A.P.C. Melbourne is situated within QV in Melbourne's CBD. A glass frontage with minimal structural obtrusion allows the store to be viewed in its entirety from the lane way. Tiered ceiling panels are lit to frame the box-like proportions of the store, and a symmetric layout further speaks to the practical tone of the A.P.C. brand.
