Ksubi

Akin Atelier created a commercial retail space for an anti-establishment brand within a multi-national shopping centre. We leaned on ksubi's unorthodox brand values and drilled this deep into design decisions for the Sydney City Westfield store, 'Welcome to Earth'. To offset the misalignment of positioning, the store is filled with blatant & ironic references to the unlikely pairing of ksubi + Westfield. Zombie-like mannequins, an Armageddon LED countdown clock, and an inlaid door mat woven with “Welcome to Earth” all feeding into the irony.
