A subterranean bar informed by 1920's prohibition.
Palmer & Co is a subterranean bar in Sydney's CBD, suitably located at a cross section of multiple pedestrian alleyways off Tankstream Lane.
There is a sense of the forbidden with the bar partially covered by a worn brick wall, and iron bars creating a partition between patron & bartender. Turntables are hidden into a timber trunk, and the venue itself is connected to neighbouring venue, Mr Wong's, via a private doorway.
Original vaulted brick ceilings are a retained element from the original site, while materials including mosaic tiles, exposed brick, brass trim, and leather upholstery punctuate the prohibition concept.
